Case Summary:
When entering a payment in the Ford Credit payment system, the message given is that “the payment will be submitted with a payment date of [that day’s date].” However, Ford Credit does NOT apply that payment date to the payment. The date they apply is the date after processing is complete. They do say later on the IVR that the payment will take 1 to 2 days to process. But in no way do they indicate that the "payment date" will be anything other that what is specifically stated. I have audio recordings of this. I made a series of payments in 2007 that were, admittedly a few weeks behind, but less than 30 days after the due date. These payments should have prevented me from being reported 30 days past due. However, upon reviewing my credit report, Ford Credit reported them all late, failing to honor their message of submitting them with a payment date as promised.

Case Detail:
Ford Credit is unreasonable and ignores my complaints. I have complained to the Nebraska AG and written their legal office. They have wrongfully damaged my credit report with erroneous statements on their payment system. I want all derogs removed and compensation for damages to my credit rating, which is otherwise perfect. There have to be thousands of Ford customers that this has happened to.

One morning after coming home from work, There was a knock on my door. I opened the door to a man who had my car on the back of a tow truck. As a loyal paying customer of Ford for more than 5 years,I was confused. The man from Finance Svs Recovery in Sylmar told me to send $350 to Ford Credit and he would personally send my car back. Not knowing I was behind in any payment, Called Ford and tried tomake a phone payment and my payment was refused. Ford auctioned off my car after I had paid them $21,000 and only had 6-months to pay my car off. Ford never sent a periodic statement to my house to give me a chance to fix the problem, but they came to pick up my car. Now, Ford has assigned a collection agency that has attorny's and have filed a law suit against me to pay them more money. I did not breach any contract--Ford is in active breach of contract and I want my money back. Ford owes me a car.

I fell behind on my payments because my hours at work were reduced during the holidays and continued for six months. I had an arrangement with Ford Credit to pay the account in two payments but they repossessed my vehicle anyway after I had made the agreed payments on the vehicle. They want the balance of the loan paid in full ($3,028) plus the repo fees. I have paid over $30,000 in payments as well as a $5,000 downpayment. I sent Ford Credit a Notice of violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Consumer Practices Act and the matter is now in their legal department. The sale of my vehicle is set for July 12, 2010. I want to get my vehicle back and my costs associated with this reposession.

In Feb 2010 my 04' F250 was reposessed, after over 5000 dollars of repair bills and a 5 month stay at a ford dealer mechanic the truck was still not fixed. during that time I was paying the repair bills and could not make all of the payments on time, ford stated I was 90 days past due and i was actually only 45. When I spoke to the rep from the credit dept. the morning after the repo she told me she had the truck picked up because I did not answer all of her phone calls. She would call me an average of 11 times a day while I was at work, a few months earlier I had explained to them that I could not recieve calls during the day because I work on an active military base. I did several times try to call in the evening but the only thing I could get was the collectors answering service. I do realize that I was at fault for being late with payments but I was also paying thousands in repair bills for a truck that ford is being sued over now, the 6.0 powerstroke engine. The fact that she repo'ed my truck because i didnt answer her phone calls does not seem like a very valid reason to me. The only thing I want out of this is my credit restored for the damage that has been done, I want my credit to never show anything from ford. Its also very funny that if you look at my personal credit report it only shows me being 30 days past due and then instant reposession, it sounds like this lady just had it out for me, she was always very cocky and rude with me with smart answers to any questions I had. I too offered to make partial payments and she would not take them and said it would do no good for me. The only offer that was made to me was after the fact they said I could pay the past one month owed, the present month and the following month and all late fees owed. That is how I know they have there dates wrong when she looked it up she told me i only owed 1 payment in the rear. Isnt there some kind of law that says they have to wait 90 days before repo? I feel I have been wronged and now they have there high priced coorperate attorneys hounding me. I asked for a comfrence call with there attorney, myself and a ford representative, they put me on a comfrence call with the attorneys' secretary and no ford rep, and then stated that was all I was allowed to speak to. Case Details:
Ford Credit had our truck repossessed the day our payment hit. We had called to let them know we were admittedly behind but that the payment would be made as of the following Monday. They said that would be fine and that they would note it. That Monday not only did they clear our payment and take it out of our bank account, but they had a repo truck come and take the truck. When we called them to ask what had happened, they admitted the mistake but said the only thing we could do was pay the "towing and storage fees" and they would handle the rest. The fees were $1200.00. We told them they could have the truck and write it off. We got our credit report back as the charge being written off six months ago.

NOW, Macdowell and Associates is having some flimsy intern call and harass us. He won't give us his name or his license number but claims to be a lawyer. Saying we owe money that on our credit report is saying was written off. If anyone has any advice please let me know.

On many occasions, Ford Credit failed to process and /or report my online payment in a timely manner. There is no excuse for delays in payments being processed now days. There is too much technology available that allows payments to be processed right away. Ford has messed up my credit by reporting my payments late, when I did pay them on time (days prior to the past due date). I no longer have a Ford - ThANK GOD! and no longer do business with Ford Credit.

I purchased a Nissan over a year ago and make my payments to Wachovia online. The moment I make my online payment, Wachovia acknowledges it and considers it paid that day. Ford Credit needs to follow the same procedures or else close out or risk a class action lawsuit.

Case Details:
Ford Credit reported a late payment on my credit after receiving my payment 28 days before there 30 day policy. While making the payment on thursday before 5:00 pm I was informed that the payment was on time. On Monday while checking my online statement which I always do, It didnt show that it was posted. I called to verify if my payment cleared and they said it didnt post on time and they are going to report this to the credit bureau. I then spoke with the manager and she refused to deal with this issue and said "write us a letter". This has caused stress in my life and my future plans are on jeopardy because of broken integrity by Ford Credit.

I have also paid my payment using the online feature. I always print off the confirmation on the date that I pay them. I have never paid it 30 days late. Ford has said that there is nothing they can do even though I have the confirmations. They are going to use their corporate power to maks sure they don't cooperate with any of us.

I contacted Ford Credit knowing my load was reopened (or should have been) the month after I had returned my Edge for my trade in. Ford Credit said I was unable to make a payment due to my loan being closed out (November 2008). The following month (December 2008) Ford repeated harrased me saying I was late - I never received a billing statement. How can I pay for something when I don't have a billing statement?! Even after numerous times - they still have yet to send it to me. Ford said the only way to get a statement was to log into Ford Credit online - only then did I find out I was being charged an additional $25 for an extention for the month I was late (according to Ford). I can NOT be late if I had an Edge I was making payments! I've contacted Ford numerous time to remove the late payments that was reported on my credit. Ford has made my credit score drop from 638 to 580.

The worst thing I ever did was buy American made Ford. They have ruined my credit and are still withholding a billing statement - which is against the law - I should not have to log in to Ford Credit online to request a billing statement, when I was getting a paper billing statement sent to my home every month!!!!!!!!!!!

After some difficult times my husband and I have been trying to buy a modest home for quite some time. He finally qualified for an FHA loan to purchase a HUD foreclosure. His truck payment to Ford Credit is a large payment but it will be paid off in about 6 months. The last payment was made by phone before being 30 days late. However it was reported on his credit report as being late. This brought his score down 52 points. This has now ruined our chances of buying a home. I have called and pleaded my case but they said they cannot help us. I feel they are being totally unreasonable. We have both been loyal Ford customers for years but no more. I will never buy another Ford product.

Case Details:
Ford Credit reported my car payment late. I did wait until the last second topay my bill due to an unemployment situation but I paid it before it was 30 days due. However because Ford did not get around to processing it until 4 days later they reported my account to the CRA's as late.
