Case Summary:
Last summer, I went to the Motorola website when I was choosing a new cell phone. I preferred dealing with that company so I would be assured a good experience. When purchasing my new RAZR2, I was redirected from their site to Lets Talk, as their fulfillment partner. After going through all the many hurdles, and waiting 3 months, I sent in my rebate information to their fulfillment partner, Lets Talk. That was Oct 7th of 2008, and I was told I would get a rebate a few weeks after that. They finally sent me the email saying they had sent my rebate and it would be here in 2 to 3 weeks. That was November 4th.Guess what? No rebate. On November 24th they sent me another email claiming that they had a problem with their rebate processor, and they would send me a debit card in 2 to 3 weeks. I was told on the Motorola site when I bought this phone that I would get a rebate check, not a debit card. Starting to sense that I was getting lied too, I sent Motorola's fulfillment partner,LetTalk, an email on December 9th, 2008,asking about the rebate. They did not respond. Today,December 15,2008 I called them and got an automated system that told me nothing. When I choose the 0 to speak with a representative it gave me a message to call during regular business hours. I was calling during their business hours but they did not answer. Now the line just tells you to call the original issuer of the rebate, even though it is they.So apparently I am not getting the $150 rebate that was promised to me when I bought the phone from the Motorola website. As Motorola is a excellent company with an impeccable reputation I was sure they wish to make good on the promise of the rebate that incited me to purchase the phone from their website in the first place. I went back and forth with them and they told me it wasn't there problem. Let's talk just replys with emails that really don't answer any questions about the rebate.

Case Detail:
It has now been over 6 months since I purchased the phone and no rebate. I see that their are lots of other people online who have had the same experience. Both Motorola and LetsTalk.com incited me to buy the phone with a false promise of the rebate.

Case Details:
When I purchased my phone on September 20,2009 from Lets Talk. I was advised I would received a $100.00 rebate once approved by AT&T. Once receiving the phone, and reading the stipulations of the rebate I discovered I could not even apply for the rebate for four months and it had to be completed between Jan 21 and March March 22, 2010. So on January 21st, I sent my rebate form, my upc, and a copy of my bill to Lets Talk. Yesterday March 15, 2010 I received a postcard back stating that my rebate was denied. My bill showed a past due balance, and even though I had an active account and currently have a $0.00 balance, they would not be sending me the rebate. I spoke to AT&T to find out what documentation they could provide to Lets Talk stating I do not have a balance due and was advised of 3 screens (which I have access to also online) that show an active account with a $0.00 balance. Lets Talk advised me they would refuse to accept any documentation from AT&T, and hung up on AT&T when we attempted a 3-way call to clarify the situation.
I requested a supervisor at Lets Talk, who I was told would call me back within 24 hours. Today after 36 hours I called back again requesting a supervisor since one had not yet called me. I spoke to a supervisor who advised me again they do not have to, and will not accept any documentation from AT&T showing that I have an active account and do not owe a balance. In the same conversation she also stated to send the documents in for review, but again they would be denied in 6-8 weeks. I could call back to verify it (This is of course after the rebate acceptance period has ended). When I questioned what documents were needed she stated that AT&T would need to show on their bill that there was not a past due balance. I advised her again that AT&T cannot change a previous bill to reflect something, but they have numerous other screens showing a $0.00 balance. Once again, they will deny it.
I do not know what to do now. I would never have purchased a phone through lets talk had I known this would be the situation. I could have purchased the same phone directly through AT&T had I known this would happen. Without the Lets Talk Rebate, I have now paid double the price for the phone then I would have had I went directly through AT&T. Not to mention that AT&T has never failed to issue phone rebates to me in the past , within 6 weeks of the original purchase, regardless of whether a bill was paid on time or late. AT&T's only stipulation is to have an active account, which we obviously have.
