Case Summary: Last summer, I went to the Motorola website when I was choosing a new cell phone. I preferred dealing with that company so I would be assured a good experience. When purchasing my new RAZR2, I was redirected from their site to Lets Talk, as their fulfillment partner. After going through all the many hurdles, and waiting 3 months, I sent in my rebate information to their fulfillment partner, Lets Talk. That was Oct 7th of 2008, and I was told I would get a rebate a few weeks after that. They finally sent me the email saying they had sent my rebate and it would be here in 2 to 3 weeks. That was November 4th.Guess what? No rebate. On November 24th they sent me another email claiming that they had a problem with their rebate processor, and they would send me a debit card in 2 to 3 weeks. I was told on the Motorola site when I bought this phone that I would get a rebate check, not a debit card. Starting to sense that I was getting lied too, I sent Motorola's fulfillment partner,LetTalk, an email on December 9th, 2008,asking about the rebate. They did not respond. Today,December 15,2008 I called them and got an automated system that told me nothing. When I choose the 0 to speak with a representative it gave me a message to call during regular business hours. I was calling during their business hours but they did not answer. Now the line just tells you to call the original issuer of the rebate, even though it is they.So apparently I am not getting the $150 rebate that was promised to me when I bought the phone from the Motorola website. As Motorola is a excellent company with an impeccable reputation I was sure they wish to make good on the promise of the rebate that incited me to purchase the phone from their website in the first place. I went back and forth with them and they told me it wasn't there problem. Let's talk just replys with emails that really don't answer any questions about the rebate. Case Detail: It has now been over 6 months since I purchased the phone and no rebate. I see that their are lots of other people online who have had the same experience. Both Motorola and LetsTalk.com incited me to buy the phone with a false promise of the rebate. |
