they said they would replace my phone due to a manufac warranty. sent me a phone not even close said the company quit making them. refused to send me original phone back or refund the moneyor repalce to a comparable modell. lied and lied to me straight talk stole it from me. i called samsung and they said they would gladly fix iot. but i cant cause straight talk lied and kept and wont send it back plus i purchased and extended warranty.

throttled at 1.8 gb instead of 2.5 gb. on phone with striaght talk for 3 hours. They cant tell me how much data i have used. they cant remove the throttle , and stangley enough if " i were to have a problem with a data throttle AFTER i purchase 30 more months THEN they would be able to go into the system and remove the previous throttle. But cant do it now. lol

they also for some reason do not have a number on hand for their corportate office. I was told by a manager that they did have one and that she needed to talk to HER superviser to get it. She then came back with the same song and dance that the previous manager had given me. " New system, we dotn have corporates number in it yet"

i payed for 2.5 GB of unlimited HIGHSPEED data and 1.8 GB later i am throttled with no one in the WHOLE world that can help me "its out of our hands , the 'NETWORK' controls it"

magical network runs straight talk with no corporate HQ, this provider is otherworldly apperantly

I've been dealing with Straightalks throttling for 4 months now and have been trying to keep an eye on my data usage to see just how much data I'm really using. So after being throttled from 3g speed to 2g (prehistoric) speed then down to even lower. I decided to install a data management app. I set the alarm limit for 2.5 data lmit. To my surprise I was throttled at 1.5 data used NOT 2.5 as they were forced to confess to recently.There were rumours that it was 1.5 until they came out and said, no it's 2.5. Well it's a lie! I contacted their call center which was located in Guatemala. I was told there was nothing they could do that I would have to add another minute card. He did offer a week of free service only after I added another card, but what good is that going to do, just leave me stranded in 2g land longer. I needed the rep to restore my phone back to 3g speed. I am shopping around now for another provider. I would encourage everyone who still has Straight Talk to go to google play or wherever you buy or get apps from and install a (data management) app. to monitor your data usage so that we can catch these thieves and prove that they are
throttling at 1.5 NOT 2.5 gbs. and the obvious that they have been false advertising their unlimited data usage.

I am a BYOP customer with an AT&T phone. I was pretty happy with my service until out of the blue my Internet was shut off. I thought it was a service glitch so I didn't think much about it and figured it would be restored soon. The next day, Saturday, was my renewal date so I paid my $45 to renew thinking soon everything will be restored and fixed. Still nothing. So I call customer service only to be connected to a recorded message about high data usage. There was no option to getting connected back to a live person after listening to it so I had to call back and go through pushing the correct numbers to get back to a service rep again. I would tell them NOT to hook me to the message that I've already heard it and please explain to me what is going on. I was put on hold only to be sent right back to the recorded message again. This happened nine times in a row! Not to mention the few times I got hung up on to. Finally I got very ugly and was told it would be at least 24 hours AFTER paying my renewal fee that I would get Internet restored. That time frame came and went and still nothing. I called again. Recorded message crap again. Got ugly again and then was told it would be at least 48 hours until I was restored!! I waited that time frame and STILL nothing!!! By then I was LIVID and became RELENTLESS on them. I started threatening a lawsuit on them and just uttering those words got me hooked straight to a manager. It wasn't until Monday afternoon that my service was restored. These policies were changed March 1st but no one was notified of the changes. Straight Talk has failed their customers greatly by selling false advertisement, failing to notify their PAYING customers of IMPORTANT service changes, and continuing to lure new unsuspecting customers in with their bait and hook techniques. If we AT&T BYOP customers are going to be docked because of a lawsuit ruling sent down when AT&T sued Straight Talk, then Straight Talk should have made a special plan with a discounted price for their BYOP AT&T customers that advertises what we get: unlimited talk, text, and 1.5 gb of Internet. Hell, I don't even get unlimited text because since they shut me off and restored my service, I can no longer receive or send picture messages or group messages. My service is totally screwed up now and I'm sick of paying full price AND being punished for going over "UNLIMITED" service!! Straight Talk needs to be brought to justice by the consumers they are treating bad and cheating.

No one knew what they were doing and finally to man who did help me told me that it was someone that i must have known and it basically was my fault. They deactivated my phone in January, and refused to explain why. I was told I was calling chat lines, downloading music, and eventually exceeding data limits. I asked the customer service agent Jason, who could not speak English to say the least, how much data I had used. He said they didn’t have that information. I asked what the data limit was and he explained that there was no limit, its unlimited…I asked for supervisor after supervisor and finally heard a automated voice say ‘No one is available, please call back later’. They ignored my calls and would hang up on me every time I would call. I eventually filed a complaint with the BBB and was finally contacted about 6 weeks later. Shelly-Ann Starkey is the BBB contact for TracFone, aka Straight Talk. She explained that because they are a prepaid carrier, they don’t pay monthly for the service of their customers, they actually pay 2-3 months behind: When I bought and activated a brand new phone from Walmart with a new number, they weren’t up to date and hadn’t realized that the number was activated under a new phone. So in January when they deactivated the phone number due to term/condition violations, they were actually terminating my service. Shelly-Ann apologized and offered me a month of free service and to reactivate my phone, I declined and explained that due to their mistake I had to buy a new phone with a different provider. I told her I wanted 3 months of free service for the time without my phone, and to be able to wait until my current phone plan ran out so I wouldn’t have to waste more money. She agreed and told me to email her. Awesome, right? No. She didn’t respond to my 22 phone calls, or the 7 emails I had sent. I actually had to buy another card so I could have a phone. When she finally did return my email, she explained she was on vacation. I was floored and just wanted the hassle over with, so I settled with 4 months of free service.
---That was in March. It's now May, and my data has been throttled beyond belief, even though I always turn off the mobile data when I'm not using it.

I was mislead by their false advertising, they talked me into quitting my old phone provider and switch to their awesome and "clear no lies" service. Offering me "unlimited" everything (data, talk & text). Since the very beginning they were a pain in the ass. Offered, micro sim cards in their website (for newer 4g phones) and send me a regular sim card and refused to reimburse me what I paid for it argumenting they runned out of micro sim cards and that was all they had, and they had a no return policy (which is something they use over and over again to hang up on you over the phone in a very rude manner. I've been without internet for 7 days now (and even before i had no internet at all anymore, the 4g service was in and out all of the time, sometimes i would not have internet through the whole day), and they already told me over the phone they'll not restart the internet service on my device until next period (basically 48hrs after I've make my next month's payment). I need help asap as this is affecting my work production levels since I used the phone's gps system to get everywhere and I'm not being able to to that, also do castings, job applications etc. Via my cellphone.

On april 19th, 20th & 21st i made 3 orders in 3 days ordering phones for friends & coworkers. Each order was over $300, totaling $1045 & one for $85.59 in february that still hasn't been credited back to my account. They keep giving me "ticket numbers" telling me to wait 2 billing cycles (30 days) Well that has been going on since february. Now i cant contest it with my bank because i only have 60 days to dispute a transaction. This $1045 order is over the top. I don't expect any better treatment than the $85.59 order from this new one. The customer service is designed to frustrate you & lie to you until you give up or time to dispute expires. If you deal with Straight Talk with a credit card or debit card keep close watch on it or they will rob you blind & act like you're bothering them when you call on it. Please someone step up & help give this "company: a taste of their own medicine.

Im disabled and dont have alot of expendable income. I saved till I had the money to purchase a very nice android phone with all the bells and whistles. I explained at the time of purchase due to my location in order to get decent service I needed the new android to work off of the verizon tower near me. They assured me no problem. When the phone arrived, it was connected to the wrong tower. They refused to replace this brand new android with another similar android that would work off the proper tower. They offerred to send me what I already had before, a simple basic phone and no refund for the difference so Im out over 259.00. They continue to interrupt my service and harass me, because I reported their fraud to the department or the aged and disabled. Straight talk, is STRAIGHT BULL. They , lie, cheat, and steal. Straighttalk wireless has done the same thing t to me as everyone else here. They have advertised unlimited data and defend this claim, when in reality the data usage is very limited. I have recieved several automated phone calls from straighttalk saying that my data usage is "excessive" and that they will terminate my service if I keep using it. I called customer service to see why my internet was constantly being disconnected. First they told me it was an issue with my phone updating when they change their settings. I said okay because I have an unlocked AT&T droid so I figured whatever, as long as they can fix the problem, I don't care. The next time I call I have violated some stipulation in the contract and went over 1.5GB of data on my UNLIMITED PLAN. I use my phone for work and I depend on my GPS, which I do not have at this point. I also need to check my email atleast 100 times a day, because once again, this is how I make my money. Prompt response times are important and I shouldn't need to park at a McDonald's to get wifi, because I use my data more than the next person.

Every month for a year or longer ive been cut off of my data access, I called straight talk, and was told that my data usage was over the limit, when i stated to them that i have unlimmitted 45.00mth plan i asked what is the limit? they said that there was no limit, because its an unlimitted plan. I said ok, so why dont i hace the ability to surf the web, watch vidieos, etc? they said it was suspended because of excess usage. I said ok. so what is the limit to an unlimitted plan? they said again, that there is no limit, I said great, so you can now turn my access back on right? they said no, not untill i bought another 45.00 card for another month. I did that, and activated it 2 weeks early, they now say i must wait 2 weeks untill the new card starts to get my data plan back, I said what is the deal, with you limitting an unlimitted plan?. again they told me its unlimitted, and has no limit?.. I said again if there is no limit, and you dont tell people when you take away thier data plan it then does not become unlimitted as advertised.. then i asked them if they understand that they are making no sense when they say the plan is unlimitted, but then they disconnect the data service 2 weeks early, and then ask you to buy more time? this is FALSE ADVERTISING and Blatent FRAUD I am out 150.00 for the phone.. and (12) 45.00 monthy cards.

When i was cut off of my data access, I called straight talk, and was told that my data usage was over the limit, when i stated to them that i have unlimmitted 45.00mth plan i asked what is the limit? they said that there was no limit, because its an unlimitted plan. I said ok, so why dont i hace the ability to surf the web, watch vidieos, etc? they said it was suspended because of excess usage. I said ok. so what is the limit to an unlimitted plan? they said again, that there is no limit, I said great, so you can now turn my access back on right? they said no, not untill i bought another 45.00 card for another month. I did that, and activated it 2 weeks early, they now say i must wait 2 weeks untill the new card starts to get my data plan back, I said what is the deal, with you limitting an unlimitted plan?. again they told me its unlimitted, and has no limit?.. I said again if there is no limit, and you dont tell people when you take away thier data plan it then does not become unlimitted as advertised.. then i asked them if they understand that they are making no sense when they say the plan is unlimitted, but then they diconnect the data service 2 weeks early, and then ask you to buy more time? this is FALSE ADVERTISING and Blatent FRAUD I am out 100.00 for the phone.. and (3) 45.00 monthy cards.

I have been a subscriber for 16 days, I noticed I could not use navigation on my phone, then emails were coming in almost an hour late. Surfing websites was at a crawl of a pace. I called Customer Support and told I have abused data usage and that I would have to wait until the following months service renewal before service would be restored... Two days pass, data is completely shut off. No access, I call again and they tell me that I can pay now for next months service and when next month begins I will have my data service restored. This is a serious scam.

I have read their term and conditions and they are counter to their advertisements. Straight Talk advertises streaming video, music and access to applications. According to their customer support the mere usage of any of those types of service is deemed in violation or abuse of the service.

the ad says UNLIMITED but when you read section 6 and 7 of the terms of agreement you are limted to what you can use the phone for. no where in the ad does it say anything about about terms of agreement.

It been one week since i got my straight service and i have had my service throttled already. Not to mention when i renewed my plan last week i had to called and fight with them to get my data un throttled from the previous month. UNLIMITED MY ASS! Its a data plan thats unlimited until you use it and then they throttle you so much you cannot do anything. They say, Hey yeah bring you iphone over to straight talk and get unlimited data. Then they throttle you have less than a GB of data usage. Something must be done about this

Today I woke up with a call threatening to shut off my service. When I enrolled in straight talk and dished out all of the money for this phone I was told. It was UNLIMITED, NO CONTRACTS. So when I called that when I hit accept to the Terms and Conditions. Here is the kicker. I never accepted Terms and Conditions. The employee at the only authorised seller of this service set it up for me. I never read any Terms and Conditions or accepted, because they did it for me. When I called them and asked what I can do with my phone. They told me I can not use it for anything but making calls and text messages. Witch does not make any sense. THEY ADVERTISED UNLIMITED DATA AND INTERNET! If a lawyer does not take my case here I am sure I will find one that will.

I have bought four $45 service cards two of which i had to pay $50 by using the phone automated service (which told me i was being charged $45 prior to the use of a credit card then at the end being told i was charged $50) and on 3/23/2012 I was terminated 12 days before end of time. I called and asked why my phone was terminated and was told due to "abnormal use of data" i asked what is normal and was told they did not know. i asked how much data and was told they did not know it goes by time. i asked how much time and was told there is no time limit. i bought a $45 UNLIMITED text, voice, and mobile data and have been told my phone is now a $200.00 brick because it has been completely deactivated and cannot be re serviced due to "abnormal use of mobile web", but have not been told the abnormal amount because they tell me "there is not a limit" but was turned off due to "abnormal amount of use". If i purchase an UNLIMITED text, voice and data card it should be just that UNLIMITED. This is a classic bait and switch tactic that is unlawful in the United States of America. It is similar to being told that a company has an UNLIMITED amount of money in a bank account then the account being closed due to "abnormal amount" of spending but not being told what is abnormal. Straight Talk or Tracfone Wireless who is the primary company is fraudulantly advertising UNLIMITED talk, text, and mobile web. and I have a $200 birck i have paid a total of $190.00 service to and have been terminated for an unknown reason axcept an "abnormal use".

They also blacklisted my Nokia E71 IMEI and could never use it again. I paid for the equipment, but now it is worthless. They stated I could buy a new phone and account. If this is not a scam I do not know what it. How can they render my physical property worthless from their negligence to inform me the amount of data to be used so I can monitor how much is used.

This is a catch 22 with the consumer not being warned the equipment would be rendered useless and a failure to disclose how much "unlimited" data can be used .
