Case Details:
I’ve incurred late fees, lost the promotion and they’ve destroyed my credit. During 'black Friday, 2011, I purchased holiday gifts using a promotional program for 0% interest for 3 years, 0 payments for 6 months. I already had a Best Buy account but the salesman had a hard time finding it. As of February, I hadn’t gotten a statement yet but a payment wasn’t due anyway b/c of the promotion. But I decided set up auto bill pay through online banking and started making EARLY payments AS OF 2/23/2012 FOR $200 - to continue monthly. (I had their payment info stored from past purchases). In April, I got a notice from my credit monitoring service that I’d been reported to a COLLECTIONS agency. After many phone calls, I discovered the salesman opened a NEW account rather than using my current account, I guess he got paid commission FOR THAT. Statements had been sent w/out the unit # so I NEVER GOT STATEMENTS YET I made several payments to Best Buy; some were returned, some disappeared, some were applied to my old account yet they wouldn’t apply them or even give me credit. No one will help at HSBC to even address where my payments have gone missing and I continue to get transferred to different departments. I'VE CALLED OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND THE SYSTEM WON'T ALLOW ME TO MAKE PAYMENTS. THEY KEEP RETURNING MY PAYMENTS AND CHARGING LATE FEES. I'VE WRITTEN LETTERS, NO HELP.

Case Details:
I was mislead and deceived by Best Buy Credit Card(HSBC). I was reading my statement for the month of June and I was happy to see that they have a promotion ( pay the promotional payoff amount) , I was happy to see this and called them and ask about it. I talked to their customer service rep and asked questions about it. I asked that if I pay the promotional payoff amount before the deadline, i will payoff my balance. The representative even talked to his supervisor and i could hear their conversation and the supervisor said not to worry as my payment satisfactorily meet the requirements(i paid the "PROMOTIONAL PAYOFF AMOUNT" + the minimum payment). I asked them that since i made the payment before the deadline, this satisfactorily meet their requirements , that I will PAYOFF the balance on my account and they said "YES". After 4 days i checked my account and they just deducted my payment on the balance...I paid a big amount for nothing! I borrowed the money from my sister just to payoff this high interest credit card... the thing that pissed me off is that they said my payment of the said promotion will payoff my account! They are liars and deceivers..THEY MISLEAD AND LIE TO PEOPLE!
