Case Summary:
Comcast / Xfinity service technicians are not "allowed" to service your wireless network even though they provide you with a wireless router. To network your wireless devices you are directed to call comcast signature support. This technical provides support to get you wireless devices connected but costs an extra $49.95 plus $5.00. When signing up for comcast and a two year contract, the sales person misleads the actual cost of getting connected as do the techs who come to your house.

Case Detail:
Comcast / Xfinity provides the consumer with a wireless router. It is their responsibilty to service your network - all wireless devices should be included in this for the monthly fee paid for service. Not a price gouging "signature service" who pings your router for more money.

Case Details:
I had the same experience--Comcast provided only the most basic phone support when my wireless router, supplied by Comcast, stopped working. They suggested that their obligation to help ended when they determined that the wired part of the connection was ok, and that I would have to pay extra for support to get the wireless part working. But I am paying a monthly renatl for something called the Comcast "Wireless Gateway" so why should I pay extra for them to support their own equipment?
