What does SueEasy do?

SueEasy is an online application where you can file your complaints in a variety of legal categories.

SueEasy was a semi-finalist at TechCrunch 40 in 2007, an event displaying the best in Web 2.0 applications. We have also been mentioned in the Wall Street Journal, Digg, Lawyers USA.

If a lawyer decides to take up your case we will provide the communication tools needed. SueEasy is NOT a law firm. SueEasy is simply an online platform for people with legitimate grievances to make their voices heard.

How do I file a Class Action Lawsuit?

1. Click on 'Start New Class Action' on the main page.
2. Fill out the form with your case Title (be specific here as it helps identify the case and let others join it). Then add the detail and summary. Upload a picture if you want to.
3. Signup as a LITIGANT on the next page.

And you're done! If others are affected by the same bad product or service, a class action lawyer will take up your case in no time! You could be on your way to a settlement..

A good idea would be to SEARCH through SueEasy's Class Action Database to see if the case already exists. The search box is on the main page. If it does, then simply add your complaint to it.

How does SueEasy verify bar membership information?

Bar membership information comes from various sources bar associations, court records, third party verification services and lawyer websites, as well as information that lawyers supply to SueEasy. SueEasy strives to provide all the information necessary to choose the right lawyer, without having to spend hours trying to find it all on your own.

We make a careful effort to collect accurate information about the lawyer. Any discrepancy in such information is incidental, please help us keep all information on SueEasy as accurate and up-to-date as possible. We ask every lawyer to provide their Bar Association License number and only after verification are their profiles activated. They will not be able to see any user contact names or details, until then. Unverified attorney accounts are only able to read case summaries and descriptions.

How soon can I expect a response?

In most cases, you will make contact with an attorney within 48 business hours of your submission, sometimes sooner. Be sure to check your email frequently, attorneys can and do respond day and night and even on weekends.

Can SueEasy give me advice about my case?

SueEasy is NOT a law firm and cannot give you legal advice on your legal issue. You should seek legal advice only from professional attorneys who have the experience and knowledge of the area of law that directly affects your situation.

Does SueEasy charge me anything?

SueEasy does not charge you a penny. When choosing a lawyer, you will discuss fee or other service options. This can be negotiated and through our service you can find the best and most reasonable lawyer.

How much will the law firm charge?

Lawyers charge on an hourly or flat fee basis. In most class action law suits lawyer will work on a contingency basis, meaning you will not pay anything unless you win your case. You and the lawyer should discuss the fee structure when you plan to sign a retainer.

SueEasy is NOT a law firm nor do we represent any law firm. Also we do not have any lawyers in the startup.
